Some Changes to My Gonzo Journal

I’ve begun to use Bloglines a lot lately to read your blogs. What it does it compile a list of all the latest posts that you’ve made into one convenient location for me to read. I used to use Kinja, but they are as slow as hell as updating. Once, mandrake posted something new on his blog, and it only appeared on Kinja the next day.

So why don’t you try Bloglines and you can easily subscribe to my blog by clicking on the button below.

The big change now is that I’m going to publish the full content of each post in my feed. Previously I only published a summary and you had to click on the link to read more. Now you will be able to read the entire post without having to visit my blog.

Why am I doing this?

The number of people visiting my site daily is increasing. The number of people visiting my site several times a day is also increasing. The site is slowing down because of the number of visitors.

So if you visit me via a RSS reader like Bloglines, you just grab the post from me instead of my server having to give you all the other crap you don’t want to see like older posts, the images at the top etc. This is much more bandwidth efficient.

the reason why i like reading your posts is simply because i like your layout and all that pictures and whachamacallit to match the crazy stuff you write.

yeah I noticed that too about Kinja ! They enver update anything really, it’s all totally random. I’ll try bloglines.
