Shopping Magazines for Men
Like most men, I would not buy a magazine unless it contained one of the following:
1) Nude women
2) Almost nude women
3) Cars
4) gadgets/toys
Which is why I was surprised when I bought a lifestyle for men magazine called Cargo. Now I feel like I’ve got one leg in metrosexual-land and the other stuck in gay-land.
The magazine is full of stuff you should buy and it tells you why you should buy it. When it shows you a tie, it also contains bits of useful info like how to match a tie (one colour in the tie must also be present on one colour on your shirt). I like it because it’s kinda like Wired meets GQ meets FHM but without all the bullshit. Men want to buy stuff but we want to know what how many points we will score with the other dudes as well as the chicks.

All a gun does is focus an explosion in one direction. You have a class of young strong men and women, and they want to give their lives to something. Advertising has these people chasing cars and clothes they don’t need. Generations have been working in jobs they hate, just so they can buy what they don’t really need
