Resident Evil: Apocalypse

behold my shaved armpits

“My name… is Alice
And I remember everything…”

Once upon a time, there was a video game called ‘Resident Evil’ for the playstation and it was really good. There were sequels and they were all good too. Many a man-child was frightened silly by the horror unleased by the game.

The plot is simple. A mega corporation called Umbrella built an underground lab below Racoon city. A virus that turns people into zombies has unleased by accident. So now if you get bitten by a zombie, you’ll soon turn into one as well and go around looking for brains to eat.

There was a resident evil movie released a year ago which was rather good actually. It felt just like the game. Now we have the second installment Resident Evil: Apocalypse which is abysmally rotten.

Milla ‘The Fifth Element‘ Jovovich has only 2 expressions - gasping for air and screaming in anger. The rest of the other chars are even worse. I can’t even remember their names and I watched the movie only 5 minutes before writing this.

In the movie, there is a super baddie called Nemesis who scared the shit out of me when I battled him on my playstation. Here in the movie, Nemesis is 7 foot tall walking suit of decomposed flesh with no intelligence or agility.

The plot is rubbish. The cast is rubbish and finally the special effects are rubbish. The ending by the way, is crap. You would be better off watching ‘Night of the living dead‘ or playing Resident Evil on a game console instead.

I gie this movie -1 out of 5 stars.

Download the entire movie here, despite my warning.
