The Hour Is Near

Abdullah Badawi, PM

More signs indicating it will soon be alright for all of us Malaysians currently displaced by our diaspora to other countries in search of a better life — to finally return home. I’m so proud of our current prime minister.

Malaysian PM: All are equal
MALAYSIAN Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi last night urged Malaysians to give their best.

This request to his countrymen formed part of his first Merdeka Day message, reported Malaysian newspapers.

Said Datuk Seri Abdullah: ‘Let all citizens of Malaysia, without feeling inferior, without feeling sidelined, irrespective of race or religion, rise to become statesmen in our own land.

‘We’re equal, we’re all Malaysians. No individual in this country is more Malaysian than another. Unleash your potential and shape this country of yours the way you want it to be.’

He reminded the people that they must ensure that the future of Malaysia is decided by them and not outsiders. He invited Malaysians to share ideas and views so that they could chart the course of the nation’s destiny together. ‘Imagine what can be achieved by this country if everyone of us pool all the potential in ourselves,’ he said.

He reminded Malaysians of the contributions made by its past leaders. ‘Tunku Abdul Rahman fought for Independence; Tun Abdul Razak brought development; Tun Hussein Onn fought to forge unity; Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad went against the tide to modernise the country,’ he added.

FF > Because change has to be gradual to avoid chaos. It has to be managed.

This kind of statement coming from the PM’s mouth has a long-ranging impact on a wide array of issues.

Do you think it’s possible to reverse the Permanent Brain Damage inflicted in the majority by the system? Although I’d like to see it being done, but I doubt he can manage it on his own. Just look at the cabinets. It’s full of shit!
