Evil Jesus
Jean’s recent post about her first encounter with Evil Jesus had me rolling around the floor in laughter. Apparently if you do not exhibit the 3 habits of highly effective Christians (Faith, Hope & Charity) then you must be a follower of Evil Jesus. Note that Jean is a deeply religious Christian and ex-Catholic.
To be fair, if I were in the same situation – I would have asked myself this question:
What the heck would Jesus Christ Almighty have done?
As I understand it, Jesus was a highly temperemental person, prone to mood swings and bouts of violent anger. This is the guy that chain-whipped money changers on the steps of the Temple of Jerusalem. The same guy who cursed a fig tree with his powers because it had no fruit when he was hungry.
Therefore, I conclude Jesus would not have given the street urchin the money she asked for, and would probably have given her a good scolding instead. Or roped her in to become a disciple.
