    The Real Bacon
Last night, I bought some bacon thinking it would be nice to go on a carb-free lifestyle for a couple of weeks. Then I woke up late this morning, so did not have time to defrost it. Went to work hungry.

So this evening, I rushed back at 6pm sharp because I had been craving bacon. Got back and discovered it was a block of frozen pork. Plonked it into the microwave. After awhile it looks pliable so I dropped it into a hot saucepan – and promptly splashed hot oil onto my hand. Hurts like crazy!

Anyway, I have never cooked bacon before. So my dinner of bacon and eggs turned out to be really really salty. So salty even the tobasco sauce did not help. LMD later told me that I have to rinse the f87king bacon before I cook it.

I have gone off bacon completely now. My hand hurts. My mouth is constantly thirsty. Ergo, I hate cooking.

erm you should have handled the bacon with more care when you’re frying it. Be more careful next time then :)

    Was you bacon sliced?
Do you know you don’t have to put grease in the pan?
Oven-cooking bacon makes it crispy and yummier.

    I’ll cook for you.

actually, caleb cooks pretty decently, so long as he has experience with the food he is cooking. He whopped up several meals for me before. All were good.

Yeah no oil required cuz bacon itself is very oily…lots of fat.

Don’t let one bad experience with bacon put you down. I have bacon every weekend as a special treat! Can’t live without it :)

And you can use the oil produced by the bacon to fry the eggs after.
