    grapes

I heard it through the grapevine
Not much longer would you be mine.
Oh I heard it through the grapevine,
Oh and I’m just about to lose my mind.
    Honey, honey yeah.

    - Gladys Knight & The Pips

Before I die, I want to lay my eyes on a grapevine. I want to devour grapes directly from the vines (and try not to think about the insecticide). All my life I’ve been paying ridiculous prices for air flown grapes in the supermarkets and wine made from them. Just once in my life I want to squash them under my boots as I walk and laugh like a maniac.

Julia has signed up for yoga classes. Today is her first lesson in the evening. She thinks yoga will help her lose weight. I’m fine with anything that she wants to do.

I went for 2 lessons. Being the only male, I felt shy and gave up.

wow really ? I remember countless autumn holidays with my parents to those winemaking areas in northern Italy. The father of a friend of mine from j-land was obsessed with his dream of coming by to help picking the grapes during harvest time. After two days at the job, he gave up and just stuck to the winedrinking.

aneki > well grapes don’t grow here (too hot). So there is an aura of romanticism about grapevines to me.

yeah I understand it mustn’t be too hot otherwise they rot quickly Still, I can tell you when it’s grape season, there’s more the smell of rotten / half fermented grapes in the air than a fruity smell which one would imagine. Also winegrapes are quite sour and don’t taste like the ones you buy to eat..but it must be fun wading around in them for sure !!

i find vineyards romantic but i do not want to work there. Too tough a job. Very tiring! I will stick to visiting, tasting and drinking!

But after aneki described the smells… ughh may have to reconsider.

smelly places are a big no-no.
