AngryBeaver Spots The Moon
In early March 2003, when the Liquidblade Tribe first moved onto our own kickass server, AngryBeaver made a very important decision - “We will not be using Movable Type, that standard blogging engine of the masses. Instead we will install Wordpress, which while obscure is free“.
AngryBeaver accurately predicted that a couple of months from March 2003, MovableType would no longer be free (as in beer) and we would be stuck. Although MovableType met all our requirements especially the need to be able to create multiple blogs with multiple authors, he knew it would bite us in the ass.
So we decided to go with Wordpress, which involves more mandays from our server elves, but does the job anyway.
If you have a friend who uses MovableType to blog, you might want to point them to Wordpress - the tribe swears by it.
