I usually have a headhunter or two calling me each week regarding “a possible move in my career to an MNC”. Usually I reply in the negative, but they can be quite persistent.

Today, Singtel called me up directly and offered me a position because they heard I might be looking for a new job. They refused to tell me where they got my contact from. Anyway I replied in the negative. I’m not ever going to join any Temasek held companies in this lifetime.

I’m surprised because as far as I know, companies the size of Singtel do not call people directly. It’s called ‘poaching’. That’s why the sub-human species known as headhunters exist.

that shows you’re in demand lah. Many people out there are unemployed okay.

Picolo > A little. But temasek group of companies are notorious for poking their fingers up employee’s arses, so then again I was pissed as well.
