SwitchFusion Is A Lousy Host

Liquidblade was down for nearly more then 24 hours yesterday. All attempts to obtain customer support resulted in lousy 3 word replies from an admin who clearly knew as much about Linux as my pet hamster does about neuro-brain surgery.

All calls to their ‘direct’ hotline were totally ignored albeit nobody even picked up the ‘24×7′ phone.

Their website is full of lies. Their support is terrible and their staff clueless. These guys shouldnt even be running a newspaper stand, much less a hosting company.

Here is mandrake’s version of what happened.

So Liquidblade will be moving sometime this month to a new home.

Can everybody PLEASE link to this post, so if anybody does a google search on switchfusion they’ll know how much switchfusion sucks. Thanks.

Maybe their “24×7″ phone is like, it will ring “24×7″ but will only be picked up as and when we like?

this is assuming the phone is even in a populated area.

Maybe they switched the ringer to off just to let it ring silently. If a phone rings with the ringer switched off, does it make a sound?

Hehe, same thing happened to me when I used a hosting service nearly 2 years back.

But then, the host was in the US. And the engineer knew less than me about systems administration.

Since then, I’ve decided to host on my own at my own home. Anyway, since it costs less than $2000 per year, I decided I can afford to host on my own…

I figured I could write a book on it though.
